IIgnite Spirit is dedicated to building a platform that connects people with each other, society, and financial resources. Our vibrant center is located in the heart of Oakville, Ontario.
As our calligraphy salon flourishes, we witness three generations of Chinese immigrants gathering to discuss calligraphy, appreciate Chinese culture, and engage in meaningful conversations. As a long-time immigrant who has lived in Canada for 20 years, I have been helping new
immigrants settle down, file taxes, invest, and manage their finances. Seeing families establish their lives and thrive in Canada brings me great joy and pride in my work. However, I have also observed the anxiety and challenges faced by many Chinese immigrants, particularly new arrivals who struggle with language barriers and limited activities tailored for them, making integration difficult.
This is precisely why Ignite Spirit was founded: to serve as a bridge connecting people with society and financial resources. By organizing diverse activities— including Chinese traditional culture (calligraphy, painting, Peking opera, etc.), Canadian life skills (English, entertainment,
sports, etc.), and interactive learning programs co-designed by articipants—we foster communication and mutual support among community members. We especially welcome second- generation immigrant children to showcase their talents on this platform, preserving and innovating cultural traditions.
