In summer, the best time of the day is early morning. Don’t stay in bed and yawn. Look, the friends in the running group have already dressed up and appeared at the gathering point, like a rainbow formation: fluorescent yellow T-shirts, bright red headscarves, colorful running shoes, lake blue socks and pink sunglasses with crystals. This is a happy and sunny “urban movement”. The leader of the running group, Lily, said: “Everyone is ready to warm up together. Today we have to break last week’s record – don’t let down before breakfast!”
Join this energetic “running group” together! Don’t be a single runner. How can a lone shadow compare to running together with everyone – encourage each other, don’t easily “stand up” after signing up for group training, and there are professional and effective leading coaches to accompany and guide, and the road and the woods have become warmer. After setting off, the sound of breathing, footsteps, and occasional laughter came one after another. Sweat was flowing, but no one said tired, because there was always someone next to them saying: “Come on, we’re almost there, no problem!”

✨Low heart rate, high step frequency, small low high running method
“Small low high” running method – low heart rate, high step frequency, pay attention to heart rate control. This method has enabled Lily to go from a novice runner to running a half marathon for half a year, and now to become a successful running group coach leading 30-50 people.
In the initial running practice, Lily learned the theoretical method from “Control” and “Running Cure” written by Beijing coach Zhang Zhanhui: beginners run three times a week, each training time is 20 minutes, from running for one minute and walking for one minute to running for ten minutes and walking for one minute, and then you can run for 20 minutes continuously.
During running, the heart rate is required to always be within the heart rate range of easy running, the step frequency is maintained at 180, the stride should not be large, and the correct running posture training is emphasized. There is no requirement for speed and distance. In this way, running at a low heart rate for three months will gradually strengthen the cardiopulmonary function. While the heart rate range remains unchanged, the speed will slowly increase, and the whole process will be completed easily and naturally. After three months, speed training such as rhythm running and interval running will begin.
Ms. Shelly, founder of Ignite Spirit, said: “Ignite Spirit Wellness is the perfect interpretation of our lighting up life. Under this theme, we advocate that everyone pay attention to health and embrace nature. We are very lucky to have the participation of Mississauga’s running coach Lily in this running group event. Let’s run together to check in and see the world!”
